Habakkuk 3:2
Our mission as a local church in Kansas City, MO is to help all people discover and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ in the community for the sake of neighbors and nations.
We believe in one God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. From the beginning, God revealed Himself as the source of all life (Gen. 1:1), all-knowing and present in all creation (Ps. 139:1-6), worthy of all worship and honor (Rev. 4:11).
We affirm that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became incarnate, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and gave Himself as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world. By His death on the cross, He atoned for our sins, and by His bodily resurrection, He defeated death and secured eternal life for all who believe in Him. He ascended into heaven, where He reigns as our High Priest and Advocate, continually interceding for us (Matt. 1:18, Heb. 1:2, 1 Cor. 15:22). Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity, and through His shed blood and resurrection, we are justified and saved (Rom. 5:9, 1 Tim. 2:5).
We hold firm to the promise of the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will come again to establish His kingdom on earth, raise the dead, and judge all people according to their deeds. Those who have rejected Him will be eternally separated from God, but the righteous, through faith in Christ, will live forever in His presence, enjoying eternal life (John 14:1-3, 1 Thes. 4:13-18).
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who glorifies Jesus, convicts the world of sin, and regenerates those who believe in Christ. He dwells in believers, empowering them to live godly lives and equipping them for service and ministry (Acts 1:8, Rom. 8:26). Though humanity was created in the image of God, sin entered the world through Adam and Eve’s disobedience, separating us from God. Only through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual renewal be obtained (Gen. 1:26, John 3:5-7).
Worshipping God in one accord, we unite to declare the Good News of Jesus Christ. As one body, we lift our voices in praise and thanksgiving, honoring the Lord for His grace, mercy, and salvation. Our hearts are aligned in purpose, proclaiming the gospel message of hope, redemption, and eternal life through Christ. We stand united in faith, committed to sharing His love and truth with the world, so that all may come to know the joy and peace found in a relationship with Jesus.
We envision ourselves growing as devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, committed to living out His teachings in every aspect of our lives. As we follow Him more closely, we see multitudes responding to the Good News, hearts transformed by the message of salvation, grace, and love. Through our dedication to spreading the gospel, we believe that countless individuals will be drawn to Christ, experiencing the fullness of life He offers. We hope to see communities and nations impacted by the power of the gospel, with people from all walks of life coming to know the truth, becoming disciples themselves, and joining in the mission to make Jesus known.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
